However, mixing powder polymer with water and activating it is an extremely laborious and delicate process;
because powder polymer tends to clump (fisheye formation) the moment it comes into contact with water, and if it is not completely dissolved, it both leads to chemical waste and clogs the dosing pumps.
Our automatic polymer preparation systems are smart automation solutions that ensure powder or liquid polymer is aged and prepared without human touch, in the exact desired concentration (0.1% - 0.5%) and with perfect homogeneity.
Our systems generally have a three-compartment (Dissolving, Maturation, and Storage compartments) stainless steel tank architecture.
A precise powder dosing screw (volumetric screw feeder) located at the top homogeneously pours the set amount of powder polymer under the water spray nozzle.
The polymer, meeting with water in the first compartment, is mixed without clumping via slow-speed mixers, and the "Dissolving" phase begins.
Passing to the second compartment ("Maturation" tank) from here via weirs, the polymer continues to be mixed slowly for a certain time (maturation time) to completely open the polymer chains and reach maximum activation.
In the final stage, the fully matured polymer solution is transferred to the third compartment ("Storage" tank) and pumped to the process via dosing pumps from here.
Thanks to the level floats between compartments and the PLC control panel, the system automatically prepares a new solution as the storage tank empties.
