Basket screens are extremely practical and safe manual/semi-automatic mechanical protection equipment generally used in deep pump stations, inlets of package treatment plants, small-scale domestic wastewater lines, or inlets of septic tanks; 

 they are preferred in situations where the installation of mechanical rake automatic screens is not economically or physically possible. 

 Placed right in front of the pump suction lines, they definitely prevent the pump from drawing solid materials and malfunctioning. 

 The basket screen has an open-top cage (basket) structure manufactured from stainless steel bars or perforated metal sheets. 

 Wastewater comes from the pipeline and pours into this basket; as the water drains through the pores of the basket, all solid wastes are trapped inside the basket. 

 When the filling rate of the basket increases, the basket is pulled upwards over the guide rails by the plant operator manually or via a small electric hoist/monorail crane system. 

 The basket taken out of the stage is easily turned upside down and emptied into the waste container, and is brought down over the rails again and seated in its place. 

 Thanks to our double-basket designs, when one basket is pulled up for cleaning, the other basket automatically closes the line, thus reducing the risk of solids escaping into the facility to absolute zero.
