Internally fed drum screens are rotary mechanical screening equipment with extremely high solids retention efficiency, particularly used in the pre-treatment stages of high-flow industrial wastewater (such as food, textile, slaughterhouse, paper, and plastic recycling industries) and domestic wastewater treatment plants. 

 They offer the most ideal solution for the fast and uninterrupted screening of waters containing intense and fine solid loads where classic flat screens are insufficient. 

 They stand out with their small footprints (area occupied) and very high hydraulic capacities. 

 In the operating principle of the system, the wastewater to be treated is fed into the inner part (center) of the drum. 

 The drum is a stainless steel cylinder rotating slowly on a horizontal axis, covered with wedge wire screens or perforated sheet metal. 

 Water is filtered through the pores from the inside of the drum to the outside under the effect of gravity and passes into the clean channel line. 

 The solid substances in the water remain on the inner surface of the drum; as the drum rotates, these solid wastes on the inner surface advance along the inner line and are poured from the open front end of the drum into a waste collection hopper or conveyor. 

 In order to prevent clogging of the screen pores, there is a spray line consisting of high-pressure washing nozzles on the upper outer part of the drum; 

 this line continuously cleans the rotating screen. Manufactured from AISI 304 or 316 stainless steel, our internally fed drum screens are an indispensable part of industrial facilities with their high separation efficiencies (in 0.5 mm - 3 mm pore intervals) and low operating-maintenance costs.
