Reverse Osmosis (RO) systems are the most precise, advanced, and reliable water treatment technology known today. 

 Based on the principle of reversing the natural osmosis event in nature with artificial high pressure, this technology has the ability to filter all dissolved minerals, salts, heavy metals, bacteria, viruses, and microorganisms in water at an incredible rate of 95% to 99.5%. 

 Reverse Osmosis systems are used as a standard in the most critical areas, from obtaining drinking water from seawater, to the production of demineralized water needed by high-pressure steam boilers of power plants, from the pharmaceutical industry to electronic chip production. 

 At the heart of the system are semi-permeable membranes with pores the size of which only water molecules can pass (approximately 0.0001 microns). 

 Raw water is pushed towards these membranes by means of high-pressure pumps. 

 High pressure overcomes the natural osmotic pressure of water, allowing pure water molecules to pass to the other side of the membrane (product water / permeate line). 

 Salts, minerals, and all other pollutants in the water cannot pass the membrane and are discharged from the system as concentrated wastewater (concentrate / reject line).
